ServicePaw is an independent platform that reviews, verifies and translates assistance dog documentation into a unified digital profile — accessible to anyone, anywhere, with a single scan.
"The real value is not in the database. It is in the Europe-wide verifiable trust layer between existing national systems."ServicePaw — June 2026
Why ServicePaw exists
Anyone who travels regularly through Europe encounters the same scene: people with assistance dogs standing at reception desks, pulling out documents, explaining, justifying. Not once — every day. Not in one country — in every country.
A hotel receptionist in Burgos does not know what a Portuguese assistance dog certificate means. An airline requires three months advance notice. A border official does not know the regulations of the neighbouring country. And a first responder who finds an unconscious handler has no way of knowing that the dog must remain with them.
27 EU countries. 27 different legal frameworks. Zero unified digital solution. ServicePaw was built to bridge exactly this gap — while European standards are still being formed.
Our position
ServicePaw is not a certification body. We do not issue official government documents. We do not replace national registries, training organisations or veterinary authorities.
ServicePaw is an independent platform that collects existing official documents, reviews them, and translates them into a unified digital profile — in collaboration with recognised associations and organisations.
Our goal is not to replace what countries, associations and training schools already do. Our goal is to make it readable and understandable everywhere — forming the technical layer for existing European standards, not creating a parallel standard of our own.
How it works
The handler uploads their dog's documents — vaccination records, training certificates, EU pet passport and medical documentation.
Every profile is manually reviewed by our team before the verified badge is displayed. A human understands context — no algorithm decides.
The handler receives a unique QR code linked to their dog's verified profile. This is engraved on a physical tag.
No app. No login. Any smartphone. The profile opens instantly showing verified status, dog information and — if needed — emergency contact details.
For hotels, airlines & venues
When a guest presents a ServicePaw tag, all you need to do is scan the QR code with your phone. No special equipment. No training required. No documents to interpret.
What the scan shows
Immediately visible — mobility assistance, diabetes alert, PTSD support and more.
Confirms that all documents have been reviewed by ServicePaw. No need to request or interpret paper documents yourself.
A structured unique identifier that confirms the registration is real and traceable.
Medical records and personal documents are never publicly displayed. ServicePaw operates in accordance with the principles of GDPR and data minimisation.
The vision
ServicePaw launched in June 2026 as a pilot project on the Iberian Peninsula — already in active use in the real travel routine of assistance dog teams. The platform is built on EU-based servers and open to handlers from all European countries.
Long-term, ServicePaw is designed to serve as a white-label infrastructure that national authorities, associations or the EU itself can operate under their own name. The technology is built. The standard can be defined.
Active since June 2026. EU-based servers. Open to all European countries.
Working towards cooperation with recognised assistance dog organisations as verifying partners.
Authorities and associations can operate ServicePaw technology under their own name.
Built to complement — not compete with — the European standards currently being developed.
Whether you are a handler, a hotel, an association or an institution — we welcome the conversation.
